Use parchment paper or plastic wrap to line your 8"x8" pan and set aside. Place caramel in microwave safe bowl big enough to hold the caramel and the almonds and melt the caramel in 30 second intervals stirring in between. When completely melted and liquid add the almonds and then quickly pour into prepared pan. With buttered hands press the almonds and caramel into pan packing tightly. This is crucial that they are tightly packed.
Let cool until very firm. With a sharp knife cut into 1"x 2" squares.
Place chocolate chips in small microwave safe bowl and melt in 20 second intervals until melted.
Take candies and dip the bottoms halfway in the chocolate and place on parchment paper to set.
This makes a lot of candy!!! Enjoy!
