Easy Taco Braid

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Can refrigerated Crescent Rolls or Crescent Sheet
  • 1/2 lb ground beef*
  • 1/2 pkg Taco Seasoning mix*
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 green onions sliced
  • *I cooked 1 lb of ground beef and used a full package of Taco seasoning. Using half for this recipe and freezing the other half for another meal.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cook ground beef in skillet until no longer pink and cooked through add in Taco seasoning and let cool.
  • Unroll crescent dough on a cookie sheet, pinch seams together. Make 1 inch diagonal cuts on each long side of crescent dough, making a wide v and not cutting through a 4 inch wide section in the middle of dough.
  • Place 1/2 of cheese on middle section of crescent dough and top with meat and then the other 1/2 cup of cheese.
  • Fold dough strips over one another in a diagonal pattern. Place ends of dough over one another and pinch to close.(if dough separates or comes apart just pinch together)
  • Place in oven and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • slice and serve with favorite taco toppings,
