You have all seen those amazing Taco Crescent Rings on Pinterest. Well I have scaled down the recipe so it is perfect for just the two of us. But what to call it? Well as I was figuring out how to make the recipe smaller I knew I would not be able to make a ring. So I made this super Easy Taco Braid.
Now hubby does not like tacos and for the life of me I dont know why and I absolutely love them. When he saw the Taco Ring on TV his eyes became glazed over and he asked if we could have that for dinner, I could not say no. Now we have been trying to have few leftovers because I just end up throwing them away so I began my quest for a smaller version of the Taco Ring.
I thought well if I keep the dough together and turned it into a braid I would have the same flavors and a smaller product. I have to say I think it turned out pretty good!! I served this with our favorite taco toppings and let me tell you there were no leftovers and it will be on our menu probably weekly. The Easy Taco Braid is perfect for our family of two but you can double the recipe for a larger family and even triple it for that big Game Day fun! That’s right I think this would be perfect for a game day gathering. A nice change from a traditional taco but let me say the flavors are there and the flaky crescent crust is so so good.
We just loved this simple meal and now I want to try a buffalo chicken version or even a ham and cheese version. Plus this is a good way to use up leftovers. What would you put in your “Braid”?

- Fold dough strips over one another in a diagonal pattern. Place ends of dough over one another and pinch to close.(if dough separates or comes apart just pinch together)
