I know you have seen these all over Pinterest, Instagram and the internet, but they were just too cute not to share with you! They were the perfect addition to this little mermaid party. With just a few ingredients these Mermaid Seashell Cookies whip together easily and are adorable!
With just a few simple ingredients you can have these whipped up in no time for your next Mermaid Party.
Supplies:
- Almond Shortbread Cookies
- Buttercream Frosting
- Sixlet candies or other small round candy
- Wilton Piping bag
- Wilton Round Star Icing Tip Set, Large
I made my butter cream frosting but I will let you in on a secret if I am in a pinch I will use store bought frosting. You can even check with the bakery department of your favorite grocery store and ask if you can buy some, they are usually pretty accommodating. If you want to you can color your frosting any color you like. I used blue to keep in the color scheme of my Mini Mermaid Party.
Take two cookies, turn them top down and pipe frosting on the bottom of one cookie and place the bottom of the second cookie on top. Gently push down the back of the cookies to resemble a shell. Place one Sixlet candy between the open end of the cookie in the frosting. Its pretty easy! Our little party goers loved these little cookies. They are just the simplest thing but can make a big statement on you party table. I love the crisp bite of the cookie with the creamy frosting they are the perfect combination! I would have these at every Mermaid, Under the Sea, or Beach themed party.
