I have partnered with Chocoley Chocolate and have received product to facilitate this recipe. All opinions and experiences are 100% my own.
One of my favorite candies is See’s Almond Squares. Mr. Pinkcakeplate asked me why I hadn’t figured out what is in these little gems of yumminess!! Well I did it!! I figured out what is in these morsels!! And it is sooooo simple!! Caramel, Almonds and Chocolate that is it!!
I don’t know why I have not even attempted to figure this out other than I would eat the whole batch all by myself because no one else in the house likes them!! Are you ready for your recipe?? I will give you some tips too!!
Almond Squares
Ingredients
- 2 C. raw whole almonds
- 1 lb Chocoley Caramel
- 6 oz Chocoley Milk Bada Bing Bada Boom Chocolate you might need a bit more depending on how much you dip!!LOL!!
- butter for hands
Instructions
- Use parchment paper or plastic wrap to line your 8"x8" pan and set aside. Place caramel in microwave safe bowl big enough to hold the caramel and the almonds and melt the caramel in 30 second intervals stirring in between. When completely melted and liquid add the almonds and then quickly pour into prepared pan. With buttered hands press the almonds and caramel into pan packing tightly. This is crucial that they are tightly packed.
- Let cool until very firm. With a sharp knife cut into 1"x 2" squares.
- Place chocolate chips in small microwave safe bowl and melt in 20 second intervals until melted.
- Take candies and dip the bottoms halfway in the chocolate and place on parchment paper to set.
- This makes a lot of candy!!! Enjoy!
Ok lessons learned with this recipe…the almonds and caramel need to be packed TIGHTLY in the pan!! Butter your hands very well and press the candy FIRMLY in the pan. Don’t put the candy in the fridge to cool!! You will have to wait for it to come to room temperature before cutting into squares!! This was torture waiting!!! Use a nice sharp butcher knife to make long clean cuts!!
Ok if I think of anymore tips I will update this post but I think were good to go!! If you love almonds ,caramel and chocolate this is the recipe for you!!

Thank you! I, too, love See’s Candies. I have wondered why I didn’t figure out how to make them myself. Thank you for the recipe and the tips!

Thanks for this recipe. I don’t eat candy often. This was one of the only candies I like–not too much chocolate, a nice crunchy almond, just enough caramel. I was frustrated to learn that Sees discontinued the candy. Now I can do it myself when I have a craving! (I will use dry roasted nuts though. I’m allergic to raw nuts.)

I used various Smokehouse Almonds with different kinds of chocolate. Excellent recipe and quite versatile.
