Have you heard about the movie The Hundred Foot Journey?? I seriously cannot wait to see this movie!! It is a movie every foodie needs to see!! I have seen a few previews and I have to say not only does the movie look amazing but wait until you see the recipes I am going to share with you today!!
Cost Plus World Market has teamed up with Disney to celebrate their new movie, The Hundred-Foot Journey. The Hundred-Foot Journey is based on the best-selling book by Richard C. Morais. The movie opens in theaters on Friday, August 8th.
But before I share some recipes let me tell you about the movie!! It stars one of my favorite actresses Helen Mirren!! I just love her!!
In “The Hundred-Foot Journey,” Hassan Kadam (Manish Dayal) is a culinary ingénue with the gastronomic equivalent of perfect pitch. Displaced from their native India, the Kadam family, led by Papa (Om Puri), settles in the quaint village of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val in the south of France. Filled with charm, it is both picturesque and elegant – the ideal place to settle down and open an Indian restaurant, Maison Mumbai. That is, until the chilly chef proprietress of Le Saule Pleureur, a Michelin-starred, classical French restaurant run by Madame Mallory (Academy Award®-winner Helen Mirren) gets wind of it.
