I’m sharing information on No Kid Hungry as part of the Denny’s Diners ambassador program. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. #DennysDiners #DennysNKH
Did you know 1 in 5 children in the USA are going hungry? 48.8 million Americans—including 16.2 million children— live in households that lack the means to get enough nutritious food on a regular basis. As a result, they struggle with hunger at some time during the year. 59% of food-insecure households reported that in the previous month they had participated in one or more of the three largest federal food and nutrition assistance programs: SNAP, School Lunch and WIC.
I love that Denny’s is participating in Share Our Strenth’s No Kid Hungry campaign. It’s a national campaign focused on ending childhood hunger by getting healthy food to kids where they live, learn, and play.
How can we help??
- Donate at Denny’s – Next time you’re at Denny’s, donate $3 and get $9 worth of coupons! The coupons include free items as well as savings on your total bill. By dining at Denny’s you’ll be helping kids get the food they need!
- Donate Online – You can visit dennys.com/nokidhungry to donate as well. You’ll receive a coupon for $5 off your next meal. You can donate as little as $5 or as much as you want!
- Text to Donate – If you text “dennys” to 877877, you’ll get information on how to donate. You’ll also receive a $5 coupon towards your next meal.
- Buy a Shirt – Visit dennys.com/nokidhungry to purchase one of three shirts that were designed by Denny’s team members. The shirts are $10 each and the proceeds go directly to No Kid Hungry.
So for a fourth year Denny’s is helping to end child hunger. What are you going to do to end child hunger here in America??
Since 2011, Denny’s has donated over $1.4 million to the No Kid Hungry campaign. That is a lot of money but clearly is not enough, and now we can help!

Hello Laura,
Thanks for this very important post.
No Kid Hungry is one of the best charitable organizations, and there’s just no reason why any kid should go hungry ever.
Kind Regards,
Carol
