Craker Barrel Hash Brown Casserole

Ingredients
  

  • 26 oz. frozen shredded hash browns
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded Colby cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely minced onion
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbls. melted butter - divided
  • Dash garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Spray a 9"x13" baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. Combine frozen hash browns, 2 cups of cheese and onion in a large bowl. Mix together thoroughly.
  3. Combine the milk, chicken broth, melted butter, the garlic powder, salt and pepper in another bowl. Mix until well blended, then pour over the hash browns and cheese/onion mixture and mix together well. Pour into prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven for 40-45 mins. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top of casserole for last 10 minutes of baking. Serve hot.
