Chocolate Peppermint Swirl Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • l Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • red food coloring optional
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2-4 oz melted chocolate
  • 30 Peppermint Hershey Kisses

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Prepare cookie mix according to package directions adding the peppermint extract and a few drops of red food coloring(this is optional) until desired shade of pink is acquired.
  • With a spoon or cookie scoop take a heaping 1 tablespoon of cookie dough and roll into a ball then in bowl of sugar to cover cookie in sugar. Place 12 cookie dough balls on cookie sheet bake for 7 mins then remove from oven and place one peppermint kiss in middle of each cookie. Place back in oven for exactly one more minute. Remove from oven, very carefully tap the cookie sheet on counter to flatten peppermint kiss. With a toothpick swirl peppermint kiss. Repeat until all cookies are baked. Let cool until peppermint kisses are set up. Drizzle melted chocolate over cookies and let set up. Enjoy!
