Tom Turkey Cupcake Tutorial

Ok as promised here is cupcake tutorial number three!!  Tonight I will be teaching all three of these adorable cupcakes at Blended Conference! Life this week has been crazy!! But for my third and final cupcake decorating tutorial I have this stinkin’ cute Tom Turkey Cupcake!!

Remember I am not sharing recipes just the decorating tutorials. Use your favorite cupcake and frosting recipes.

Here is what you will need:

Baked cupcakes

brown sprinkles (about 2 teaspoons per cupcake)

chocolate frosting

red frosting

8 candy corn candies per cupcake

2 small Wilton candy eyes

2-12″ Wilton Disposable Decorating Bags

#4 Wilton decorating tip

#12 Wilton decorating tip

Fill first decorating bag fitted with the #12 decorating tip with chocolate frosting and pipe top of cupcake with frosting almost covering the surface of the cupcake.

Sprinkle with brown sprinkles and gently press into frosting.

With the chocolate frosting pipe the neck and head of the turkey in an S shape on the top of the cupcake.

On the back of the cupcake push the tips of seven candy corn candies into the frosting covering about half of the candy corn.

Turn cupcake around and add the eyes to the top of the piped neck and head.

Push the large end of candy corn candy into the head just below the eyes for the turkey beak!

Fill the second disposable decorating bag fitted with #4 decorating tip with red frosting and pipe on one side of the candy corn the turkey’s wattle.

There he is the cutest Tom Turkey you ever did see!!
