So a little more about me. I am incredibly shy. Really I am, kinda goes with the little self-esteem issue I have! I can almost bet that most think I am stuck up or snotty or snobby. Not even close!! Now once you get to know me you will never believe that I am shy. Basically until I am comfortable around you I have a very tall wall built around me. I have been hurt as we all have been and this is my defense mechanism!! I know not good. I am working on it! I found a little tool that is helping me and it is the simplest thing!
Remember back in April when I went HERE?
This was a blogging conference with over 300 attendees! I had no idea how I would go to this event and not put people off by appearing snobby!! Now we would be exchanging business cards and even that was a bit intimidating for me. Well the night before I left I came up with a fantastic idea!! Chocolate suckers! Who would turn down a Chocolate sucker??? Well I stayed up making 100 of these adorable Chocolate suckers!
I went to that conference and I handed out ALL 100+ suckers I made!! Yes I approached many wonderful women, talked to them, had meals with them, attended classes with them!!
So now you’re wondering why I am telling you this??? Well today I am going out amongst my co-workers, my peers, my colleagues to work beside them to educate them about the department I work in. I am terrified. seriously terrified. Well Chocolate suckers worked one time so I am going to see if it works again!! Yup I am taking Chocolate suckers to hand out!
I stopped at my favorite Cake decorating supply store and found the cutest owl sucker mold!!! So CUTE!! I love making chocolate suckers!! They make everyone smile!!! So I calling these my little self-esteem booster!
Here are my owl suckers! Whatcha’ think?
I made really cute tags but they got left at home!! I was so bummed! I worked hard to make them in Photoshop!
Well here is a what they looked like.
I am really sad I didn’t get to use them. 🙁 They really made the whole “Owl” theme. Oh well!!
Now these chocolate suckers are so easy to make!!
Melt- I use Merkins Candy melts you can use Almond Bark or the Wilton Candy melts! They all work great! You want to melt in the microwave at 20-30 second intervals stirring in between. I like to use glass bowls for the residual heat factor!
Pour – I used a teaspoon to put the melted chocolate in the mold, gently tapping the mold to release the air bubbles.
Set- I put them in the freezer for about 10 minutes to set up and then pop them out of the molds!
Once they are set your good to go!
Wish me luck today!! Hooooo doesn’t love a chocolate sucker????
Linking up HERE!
