Disney Social Media Moms Celebration 2014! Most Magical Event!

I have been home from the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration for a few days now and I still feel like I am walking on fairy dust!!!  I can’t even think where to begin in sharing my thoughts about this event.

This is my third trip to Disneyland this year but I have to say this trip will forever hold a special place in my heart.   I have always been a little shy, and self-conscious and felt like never really fit in anywhere.  But not at the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration.  I was treated like royalty not only from the organizers and hosts of the event but by all the other attendees as well.  It started the moment we checked in for the celebration.

Right away we were given beautiful lanyard with our conference credentials and even those were sparkly and bright.   I felt like I had stepped into a dream world  like I was in another alternate life, one filled with Disney Magic!!  We all know Disney Magic is real!!!  This celebration was just that, a Disney Celebration that only Disney knows how to do.

The first evening we were greeted at a reception sponsored by Coppertone and I even won the very first giveaway!!  A bucket filled with Coppertone products!!  Living in Arizona we use a lot of sunscreen!!

On Friday we were treated to amazing speakers and learned about Disney Past, Present and future!!  Did you know they are building a Disney Theme Park on China oh how I would love to visit that park when it opens!!  We were uplifted and inspired by amazing people!  Donald Driver shared with us his story and shared these thoughts:

“Blog for a reason, not for attention.”

This one is pretty powerful don’t you think?  And the next quote is one I struggle with all the time…wanting to give up bogging.

“Whatever your plan, whatever your passion, keep going – your blog changes lives.”

 I want to give up blogging every day!!

Tom Staggs Chairman, of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts shared this little gem with us and I have to say it is right on the mark!!

“When your job is about making people happy, you end up with a lot of happiness.  It’s a nice bi-product.”

Another powerful speaker was Maxine Clark founder and CEO of Build a Bear and she shared this remark:

“It’s not what you have, it’s what you give that determines your legacy.”

Wow that is pretty powerful!!

The one thing that resonates from these great messages is that from blogging, to Disneyland, or to Build a Bear it is all about others, bringing others happiness and joy!

Is my life filled with joy and happiness? Yes it is every day!! It is joy and happiness I want to share with others with you, that is what this blog is about.  I never dreamed this little blog would take me where it has taken me and I am grateful for the ride.

Walt Disney said:

“If you can dream it, you can do it. Always remember that this whole thing was started with a dream and a mouse.”

This post has taken a different turn from when I first started writing it.  I wanted to share with you all the amazing and wonderful experiences I was able to enjoy while attending the Celebration but what my heart wants to share with you is what I have written down.  The experiences I will never forget, for it was truly magical but my heart has been covered in fairy dust.  This little blog is important if to no one else but me, and for that reason I will continue to share my journey with you.  Oh ya I will still share the yummy recipes!!  And the fun times I have.  But I will not give up on this blog!!  I look forward to what will come in the future!  Walt also said:

“The more you like yourself, the less you are like anyone else, which makes you unique.”

Each one of us is unique and special just as unique and special as Disneyland.  I hope a little fairy dust landed on you today as you read this,  you are important and deserve all the joy and happiness this life brings to you.  Go out and have a Magical day!!
