Your going to love this recipe it is so easy and no cream of anything soup just butter, milk and chicken stock! You can use vegetable stock if you want a vegetarian option!!
Craker Barrel Hash Brown Casserole
Ingredients
- 26 oz. frozen shredded hash browns
- 2 1/2 cups shredded Colby cheese
- 1/4 cup finely minced onion
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbls. melted butter - divided
- Dash garlic powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Spray a 9"x13" baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.
- Combine frozen hash browns, 2 cups of cheese and onion in a large bowl. Mix together thoroughly.
- Combine the milk, chicken broth, melted butter, the garlic powder, salt and pepper in another bowl. Mix until well blended, then pour over the hash browns and cheese/onion mixture and mix together well. Pour into prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven for 40-45 mins. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top of casserole for last 10 minutes of baking. Serve hot.
