I know Triple Chocolate Birthday Bars? These bars are so amazing you will want to make them for more than just birthdays! They are packed with chocolate chips and topped with a chocolate buttercream which is so dang good you will not know what to do!
I am a huge fan of cookie bars. They are easier to make and you have a whole pan of deliciousness with one bake! It doesn’t get better than that. To maximize my time I whip up my delicious chocolate butter cream while the bars bake. Even though I can’t frost the bars until they are completely cool at least I have the frosting made and waiting for the right moment! Oh, and its great for sampling just to make sure it tastes just right!
Lets talk about buttercream frosting. I love a fantastic buttercream frosting and because I have a friend who is a professional baker she was kind enough to share her buttercream frosting recipe with me. I make buttercream frosting all the time but I just pretty much eyeball it I never actually measured my ingredients. When I was given this recipe I never went back to making my frosting the old way this buttercream is divine!
I wanted to tweak my last bar recipe and I really love how these bars turned out they are a cross between a brownie and a nice dense moist cake! Now don’t hate me but I don’t really care for brownies and its a texture thing for me so these Triple Chocolate Birthday Bars are just about the most perfect treat I have come up with yet. Now you don’t have to put sprinkles on these Triple Chocolate Birthday Bars but why not? Sprinkles are the glitter of the baking world right???? Glitter makes everything better and so do sprinkles. They are just so fun!
