We all love the traditional holiday Green Bean Casserole and we have it at every holiday meal! I bet you do too!! When I was challenged to come up with an new twist on the traditional Green Bean Casserole I was all for it!! Then I had a recipe road block! So what did I do? I asked my husband what would he do if he could put a fun spin on this great casserole and the first word out of his mouth was…BACON! My reply was “Brilliant, simply brilliant!” We all know bacon makes everything better! Thus Bacon Cheddar Green Bean Casserole was born!
Of course I started with the basics, Del Monte® Green Beans, Campbell’s® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup, and French’s® Crispy Fried Onions.
I know we are all familiar with this holiday staple and we have it on our table every Thanksgiving and Christmas. When I was asked to put my “twist” on this classic dish as I said before I asked Mr.Pinkcakeplate and he said one word “bacon”! I love sharp cheddar cheese and we both know bacon and cheese are a fantastic pairing! I also came across French’s® Crispy Fried Onions Cheddar flavor!
I love the addition of cheese and bacon to this classic holiday dish! The flavors are perfect together!
This is my twist on the classic Green Bean Casserole! What is your twist on this family favorite?
