Today my dear friend Joanna from www.bakedbyjoanna.com is bringing us our day of “PINK”. I met Joanna at Creative Estates back in April and let me tell you this gal is a dynamo!! She bakes like a dream and does the most amazing things with Fondant!! Take look at the cupcakes she made for GNO.

Growing up my grandfather had lung cancer, so I know first hand the struggle of coping with such a terrible sickness. Though he is no longer with us, I feel as though everyone should have an opportunity to live a healthy life and that’s why the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is so important to me. Each year I run the 5K to show my support as well as help donate to a cause that will hopefully find a cure one day. Yes, it’s not supporting lung cancer research, but regardless, my pink running shoes and I make sure to be a part of events that work towards finding a cure for any type of cancer.
