Slow Cooker Pork Carnitas Stew

Ingredients
  

  • 1 PKG Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork Shoulder Seasoned Carnitas
  • 1 10 Oz can Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies
  • 1 16 oz jar or can Roasted Green Chiles salsa
  • 3 TBS cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • Fresh Cilantro sour cream,tortillas,chopped onions, chopped tomatoes for garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Place Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork Shoulder Seasoned Carnitas in slow cooker and cook on high for 4 hours.
  • After 4 hours remove meat from slow cooker and allow to cool. Cut into bite size pieces and return back to slow cooker. Add in Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies and Roasted Green Chiles cook on high for 2 additional hours.
  • Mix cornstarch and water in small bowl and stir into stew. Continue to stir until stew thickens. Serve in bowls with garnish of choice.
