{Recipe} Samoa Cookie Brownies!! Oh My!!

Ok I did it I bought the famous cookies!!  You know the ones that the cute little girls sell!!  The coco-nutty carmelly ones! I did it on purpose I wanted to make something yummy with them!!  After two of these little devils I know not very conducive with my eating plan (we will visit that in a later post!!) I had to get these brownies made~ to keep me from eating the rest of the cookies in the box!! LOL!   How does Samoa Cookie Brownies sound???

Here is what you will need:

Ingrediants for Samoa Cookie Brownies @ pinkcakeplate.com

1 Box Samoa Cookies

1 box of Brownie mix and the ingredients to make the brownies

1 C. chocolate chips

I mixed the brownies according to the directions on the box, and then in a pan prepared with cooking spray I spread half of the browning batter evenly on the bottom.

Place the cookies on top of the brownie batter.

Spread remaining batter over cookies making sure to cover the cookies.  Bake for 25 minutes.  While still warm from the oven sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top of the hot brownies.

When chocolate chips are shiny spread evenly over the top of the brownies.  I sprinkled chocolate sprinkles on top because I like Sprinkles!!

Let cool completely then cut into squares and enjoy!!

Ingredients
  • 1 Box Samoa Cookies
  • 1 box of Brownie mix and the ingredients to make the brownies
  • 1 C. chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Mix the brownies according to the directions on the box, and then in a pan prepared with cooking spray spread half of the browning batter evenly on the bottom.
  2. Place the cookies on top of the brownie batter.
  3. Spread remaining batter over cookies making sure to cover the cookies.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes in a 350 degree oven. When done remove from the oven while brownies are hot from the oven sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top of the hot brownies.
  5. When chocolate chips are shiny spread evenly over the top of the brownies.
  6. Let cool completely then cut into squares and enjoy!!

These brownies were chewy with a bit of crunch from the cookies!!  The coconut flavor shone though and gave the brownie another layer of chewiness!!  Mr. Pinkcakeplate love them!!  So we will be making these again!!  If you try this recipe leave a comment and let me know how you liked them!!
