It’s National Brownie Day so I baked a Naked Brownie Cake!! This brownie cake is pretty easy to make! The sides are not frosted but I loaded the frosting up between the layers!! Soooo good!!
I used 2 of my favorite brownie mixes and baked 4-6 inch layers and made a dark chocolate butter cream frosting! So if you like chocolate this is even more lethal than a “Death by Chocolate” cake!! LOL!!
So just use your favorite brownie mix and bake in round cake pans! I didnt even frost the side of the cake and I love it!! It looks so trendy and up to date! The buttercream frosting is crazy good!! Below you will find the chocolate buttercream recipe!
Chocolate Buttercream
Ingredients
- 2 cups salted butter Softened
- 2 lbs powdered sugar
- 3/4 cup cocoa
- 2-3 tbs cream
Instructions
- Place butter and half of powdered sugar in bowl and mix until blended. Add in cocoa powder and beat until completley incorporated. Gradually add in remaining powdered sugar and cream.Beat on high speed until light and fluffy. If frosting is too thin add more powdered sugar, if to thick add more cream.
So sit down and grab a slice of the brownie cake you just made! Your going to need a very tall cold glass of milk to wash down this decadent cake! It’s chewy and chocolaty and so good! So Happy National Brownie Day to you all!! Now go eat some brownies!!
