Ok you all know I love Snyders Olde Tyme Pretzel twists!! You may have come across my Star Spangled Pretzel Twists but today I am taking a Disney Spin on my favorite treat!!! How about Mickey and Minnie Pretzel Twists??
Arent these adorable?? I made the Mickey Mouse Pretzel Twists for my Disney Side Bunco party and while I was creating the tutorial for this post I started thinking about a Minnie Mouse Pretzel Twist!
These are sooo easy to make dont be afraid its only candy and pretzels you can eat your mistakes!!!
Melt your candy melts in the microwave in 20-30 second intervals (my microwave was broken so I use a hot water bath to melt my candy kind of like a double boiler).
Dip the top portion of the prezel in the black candy melts and gently shake off the excess candy.
Place on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper. Let the pretzels sit to harden the candy.
When black candy is hard dip the bottom half of the pretzel in the red candy and shake off the excess.
Lay on cookie sheet to let candy harden.
While candy is hardening melt your white candy melts and place in a plastic candy piping bag. When candy on pretzels is hard pipe two white buttons in the middle for the Micky Mouse pretzel twists and then random white polka dots for the Minnie Mouse pretzel twist.
I piped small flowers on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper for the Minnie Mouse pretzels. When they had hardened I piped a small dot of melted candy on the upper portion of the Minnie Mouse pretzel and then placed the flower on top of it to secure Minnie’s flower.
Tip: let the white candy melts cool down a bit before you begin piping the dots and buttons if it is too warm it will just flow all over!!!!
