I have wanted a stainless steel tumble for a long time. What kept holding me back was they were pricey and they were pretty boring! I like pretty girly things, I’m kind of a girly girl! I finally came across a pink one but it was still like thirty bucks! That was out of my price range! I finally found one in a pretty pink color for about half the price but that was still fifteen dollars! I caved in and bought it! It was pretty but still kinda plain! So I took my Yeti Tumble From Drab to #Fab!
I can’t even tell you how much I loved dressing up this pretty pink tumbler! Let me show you how I made it!
Supplies you will need.
- Cricut Electronic Cutting Machine
- Cricut Vinyl I used gold metallic
- Cricut Transfer Paper
- Scissors
- Weeding tool
I have to back up a little bit here! My good Friend Liz at Liz on Call has created an amazing font! Yes that’s right she made this adorable font called Slightly Sweet! She is so talented! I am so excited for her that I asked her to make an SVG file for me to use on my tumbler!
Well she created the cute #fab SVG file for me. I opened it in Cricut Design Space and sized it how big I wanted it on my tumbler!
It was so easy to use! I then cut it out with my Cricut Explore Air 2. Super easy,
It came out perfect.
I used my weeding tool and removed all the pieces of vinyl I did not want to use.
The next step is to cover the vinyl with transfer paper. This allows the design to stay as it was cut and place it on your tumbler.
I wanted the hashtag to be offset just a bit so I cut it apart from the wording. Its time to place the vinyl on the tumbler.
Remove the back piece of the vinyl leaving the wording on the transfer paper.
Carefully place it on your tumbler and gently rub the wording on the tumbler.
Then carefully remove the transfer paper in a slow rolling motion.
I did this again with the hashtag and then I thought how cute polka dots would be so I added a few gold dots to the tumbler. I couldn’t love it more!
Now here is the best part! You can get the FREE SVG cutting file for #fab at Liz’s blog! She is giving it away just for my readers! Ok its free for everyone! Please head over to grab your free SVG cutting file! You can use it in a Cricut machine! It is so adorable! And stay tuned for the release of her Slightly Sweet font at Creative Market!
