I have to tell you this idea is not an original idea but I like to think I put a pretty cute spin on this gift idea!! So you wanna know what it is?? Valentine’s Day Hot Chocolate on a Stick A CUTE GIFT IDEA!!!! I have seen this delicious treat floating around the internet for quite a while!! It has been a very popular Christmas gift idea but it is still pretty chilly in February and I love a warm Delicious cup of Hot Chocolate on a cold day!! As a matter of fact while we were in Disneyland Mr. Pinkcakeplate and I enjoyed many cups of Hot Chocolate!! So I give to you Hot Chocolate on a stick with a Valentines Day twist!!!
I started withe these wooden sticks you can find at any craft store, using a small stamp set and red ink I stamped my message on the stick!!
There are a lot of recipes for Hot Chocolate on a Stick I used this one I found from Heather of Whipperberry!! Heather is amazing!! You have to visit her site!! So Many great ideas there!!
I used Heather’s recipe and put it in these adorable heart ice-cube molds I found at IKEA for under $1.00 each!!
While the chocolate was still warm I put my sticks in and then I sprinkled some with mini dehydrated marshmallows and chocolate sprinkles!! I placed the trays in the refrigerator to set up overnight. You want the Chocolate to harden so you can “pop” them out of the tray!!
Using 3″x6″ cellophane bag (snack size baggies work too) I placed the Hot Chocolate and a few extra marshmallows and sprinkles inside!
It needed one more thing!! A Topper!! So I made one for you!! It is not great but I think it turned out cute and you can download and print out as many as you need!! Simply print, cut and fold the topper then staple to the top of the bag!! There are even directions to make the hot chocolate on the back.
Pair these with a cute mug and there you have it a cute easy Valentine Day Treat!!
