This is a difficult post to write, probably harder than it really should be. It has been about 2 months since starting on my weightloss journey and I have hit a place where I didn’t think I would be this early in the journey. I feel like I have lost my motivation and I don’t know how to get it back. The good news is I have not gained any weight back I am just staying the same so I am happy about that.
This is the last thing I expected to happen this early in the game. How do you get your motivation back for anything once it is gone? Do I want to lose weight? Yes I do. Will I feel better if I weigh less? We know I will. Why does this have to be such a struggle? That is a question I am not sure anyone can answer.
I get up each morning and begin working my weight loss plan and I do very well until I get home after work then it is all downhill from there. I need to plan my afternoons better I need to set myself up to succeed once I get home from work. All while I continue to cook and bake for this little ol’ blog!!LOL!! I need to work out a plan.
Ok this is starting to make sense. Make a plan. Make a plan. Plan to succeed! If I can remove the obstacles in my way when I get home from work I will succeed. Ok so I need to determine exactly what my obstacles are, and then remove them from the equation.
Obstacle one: food left on counter, if it is left on the counter I will eat it that is how I ate 3/4 of a sleeve of saltine crackers yup just because they were on the counter!! Not very smart is it! Going forward DO NOT LEAVE FOOD ON THE COUNTER!!! That will help tremendously!!
Obstacle 2: not enough food plan friendly food in the house: Stock the house with food plan friendly foods!! Lots of fruits and veggies!!! Yes lots of fruits and veggies!! Another winning plan!!
Obstacle 3: I hate going to the gym, ok this one is hard too I just have to do it I dont think there is any way around that one!!LOL!!
UpDATE: I had my appointment with my nutritionist and he is wonderful!!! I did not gain any weight this month in fact I lost a little bit more!!! So grand total 25 lbs gone!!! He pointed out I do not give myself enough credit. I had a lot of obstacles in my way this month and to get through them without gaining weight was his goal for me and I did it!!
I have to just hang on and keep going, give myself credit for the accomplishments I do achieve and remember every day is a new day to move forward, make better choices and remember hard things are hard!!!
