Summer is in full swing and there are so many fun things to do with your kids! I recently had the opportunity to go to my favorite theme park with my grand kids! Well, this crazy grandma loves making fun things to keep my grand babies happy and content while attending the parks. I made these cute mini backpacks for them and packed them full of fun stuff! I also created a Backpack Packing list and we all know you need snacks in the parks so I have an easy Hidden Valley Ranch Snack Mix recipe for you.
My granddaughter just loves the “ice princess” from her favorite animated movie. So I created her little backpack with this in mind. You can find the whole tutorial to make the backpack itself here. What I really want to share with you is this great find at your local Kroger stores! How fun are these Glad sandwich and snack bags? And lookie lookie who is on them! I just about died when I saw these! So so cute! I knew just what I wanted to do with these!
Those backpacks need to be packed, right? Of course they do. What better way to pack them than with all the goodies going inside these adorable Glad bags. Now not only did I share a recipe with you but I have this easy packing list. I left one blank so you can add your own list, but every backpack needs snacks and a water bottle! Just click on the list to download. Print it out and cut it in half and it will even fit inside the backpack.
So let me show you what I put in my granddaughter’s backpack. First and foremost, one bag was full of the yummy Hidden Valley Ranch Snack Mix. Another thing I found at my Kroger store are these individual Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing cups so I packed another bag with one of the cups and pretzels. She loved dipping her pretzels in the dip, that was a win. This grandma knows what her grand babies like.
We all know that parks of any kind can be a little dirty so I put hand sanitizer in the backpack too. I also put in some baby wipes. After I put them in the Glad bags my grand kids had no idea they were baby wipes.
What kid doesn’t like bandages? I think this was my grand daughters favorite thing. They are multipurpose – they can be a bandage or they can be something for them to play with! I know but it totally worked. Which leads me to another thing, stickers. Put stickers in that backpack. Kids love them and it will keep them busy when standing in line. I also put a small bottle of bubbles in the backpack too they loved these.
There are so many things that can go in these backpacks and you can customize them to your own kids. Even if you’re not planning a trip to the parks you can still make fun things for your kids and take advantage of the Glad bags. My local Kroger store had really cute Glad containers with characters on them too. All these are perfect for school lunches.
