Do you have dogs or cats for that matter? Well y’all know I have 2 mini dachshunds who are spoiled rotten. One way I spoil my “babies” is to give them the best food to eat. Recently I have really started reading the ingredient lists on the back of dog food packaging. The secret about most, not all, dog foods is that they are filled with lots of stuff to give the food volume. The most popular filler is grains.
A couple of years ago my oldest dog Sophie was diagnosed with “cushings” disease and in my research I came across something that was in most of the information and that was to find a food with out a lot of “fillers” one of them being grain. I was on my way to finding a food that fit the bill to help my little doxie eat better and help her manage her disease. So now another little tid bit is my other doxie Cinnie is a finicky eater ya I know a dog that doesn’t like to eat, well this was Cinnie. Now to find a food that would work for both my dogs. I tried a few different foods and they liked them but they didn’t “love” them. These other foods were good dog foods don’t get me wrong and I made sure to read the label and make sure they were free of any added fillers but I knew I could find something that they would even love their food better.
A few months ago I cam across a CANIDAE® Pet Food and after reading about this company and listening to their story I knew I had to try their amazing food. Take a minute and listen to their story.
Ok I have to say I got chills when I watched this video. The integrity behind this company is incredible and the fact that they strive to stay ahead of the current industry standards is impressive. This is what they say about their company.
“We’re pet people. We use the same ingredients we want for our own pets in our food. We know how important it is to provide the best nutrition possible for the beloved dogs and cats that enrich our lives in so many ways. Independent and family-owned, we’ve been making pet foods since 1996–for our pets and yours. Foods you can feel good about feeding for a long, healthy life.”
I love that they call themselves “pet people” because I’m a “pet people” too. Ya I kinda think we bonded over that! LOL! Well I bonded with them. I love that this company is an Independent, family-‐owned pet food company. Their food is Premium dog food using Limited Ingredient Diet and most importantly is grain free. They use no corn, wheat or soy in any of their foods! And fresh meat or fish is always the first ingredient!
I was so excited when the good people at CANIDAE® sent me their CANIDAE Grain Free PURE Bison dog food for my little girls! They loved it even my finicky little Cinnie! She could not wait to try this food!
I bet your wondering what the “secret” about dog food is? Well the secret is really simple…find the dog food that works the best for you and your pet. I love CANIDAE Grain Free PURE Pet Food because it is grain free, its first ingredient is protein and it has other vegetables in the food.

You are blessed with such beautiful dogs! I have got a pug, who is very quiet, loving, and such a sweetheart but he has a particular fetish for eggs and eats nothing else. He is 6 now and has been healthy and sturdy.
