If you have followed me for very long you know we are HUGE Disney fans in our house! Ok let me back up just a bit!! I NEVER know what to get Mr.Pinkcakeplate for Christmas or even his Birthday!! He is kinda hard to shop for! Well this year I got him the perfect Christmas gift!! A Surprise Trip to Disneyland! Yes that’s right I planned a whole mini trip to Disneyland without him even knowing!! Follow along as I share with you how I told him we were heading to Disneyland!!
It took me a little while to figure out how I was going to pull this off and how I planned it was a bit cheesy!! I think he got a kick out of it!! I went through a few rooms in our house and I noticed that just about every room was a little bit of Disney so guess what got wrapped up and put under the tree?? You got it, a few of our favorite Disney memorabilia items and one or two new Disney goodies!!
I wrapped every Disney related Christmas gift in Disney themed wrapping paper and yes there was an order to each and every gift!!
I wrapped up one of the handmade Candy Canes we bought at Disneyland last year.
And this brand new book my friend Cam Bowman sent me!! I will tell you more about this book in a minute!!
The last gift had his Goofy mug and all the details of the trip!! He was so not expecting a trip to Disneyland!!!
And today we are on our way to Disneyland to have this fun little mini vacay!!! I can’t tell you how excited I am to go again to Disneyland and we are getting there before they remove the holiday decor!!! So fun!!
So let me tell you about this great book I received!!! 101 Disneyland Tips by Cam Bowman! I loved how easy this book is to read and even a seasoned Disneyland fanatic will find a new tidbit about the Happiest Place on Earth in this book!! I did!!!
Cam and her family have been traveling to Disneyland for many years, and usually, multiple times each year. She knows the park inside and out, and some of the Cast Members are getting to know her. She has on-hand experience with the full gamut of rides, shows, shops, and restaurants as a park guest. She has explored every tucked-away nook and hidden crannies that are publicly accessible. She’s had unique experiences like seeing the Space Shuttle fly over Paradise Cove, witnessing the last performances of original shows, being at the opening of Cars Land, and basking in the immersive park decorations for Independence Day, Halloween, and Christmas. She’s seen numerous sideshows, exhibits, parades, and fireworks displays. But she has also experienced 100-degree days, rain, sick kids, stomach flu, sunburns, multiple-hour lines, and capacity-level crowds. In short she has experienced a little of everything at Disneyland, good and bad.
101 Disneyland Tips is based on numerous years of visiting Disneyland and experiencing its magic in many forms. This book is not a traditional guide. Instead, it goes beyond the basic information commonly available in other travel guides and websites, and gets straight to what you should know. Whether you have one day to spend at Disneyland, or many, the practical, insider advice in this book is packaged into useful tips that can help make your visit less stressful and more enjoyable. With the knowledge Cam openly shares here, you’ll be ready to conquer The Happiest Place on Earth like an informed pro.

Pick just one?! 😉 So hard. Favorite attraction for “big kids” is a tie between Space Mountain & the Matterhorn. For something with little kids, it’s Buzz’s Astroblasters! 😉
And…p.s. SO fun that you did a surprise trip! 🙂
