I have partnered with Deseret Industries to bring you this blog post. All experiences and opinions are 100% mine.
I love to shop, seriously love it! I love to save money even more than I love shopping. With prices of everything continually increasing it gets harder and harder to save that hard earned money. That is why I love thrift stores! Lovingly called “second hand” stores and Deseret Industries fits the bill! I had the chance to shop at the brand new Deseret Industries store and had some fun with Second Hand Shopping!
My first impression upon walking into Deseret Industries is how clean the store was. And there was no “old shoe” smell that you find in some thrift stores!
I found so many name brand labels on everything from clothes to pots an pans. This cute dress is one label everyone knows and loves!
With back to school in full swing it is a great way to stretch that back to school budget! I was able to find some adorable pieces for my grand daughter and for a fraction of the original cost. This adorable pink skirt is a popular name brand and was priced for just a few dollars who could pass that up!
I think my most favorite thing about Deseret Industries is the book section! I absolutely love cook books. We all know that some cook books can cost twenty dollars and more. I was so excited when I found some amazing cook books! I took them home and read through them! I love reading cook books I can do it for hours and hours.
There are so many other great finds you will come across when shopping at Deseret Industries. One tip I can give you is to take your time and look through everything carefully, examine clothes for stains and rips, toys for no broken or missing pieces, and dishes free of chips and nicks. If you take your time I promise you will come home with a treasure. Second hand shopping is one of my most favorite things to do, I love that I can save money and I love that there is such a variety! You never know what you’ll find at Deseret Industries— each store has a large selection that is restocked every day.
You can also donate your new and gently loved items you no longer need to Deseret Industries. I will be doing that after I clean out my closet!
