While Mr.Pinkcakepate and I were on vacation at Disneyland we ate these scrumptious little Red Velvet Pancake Poppers!! They were warm and yummy oh so delicious!!
I had to make these little puffs of yumminess at home and you can too!! It is a simple as ABC!! I came across a cute Valentine’s Funfetti Pancake mix at the BX for only 50 cents!!! Score! And all I had to add is water!! Here is what you will need!
You can make your own pancake batter from scratch or you can cheat like I did!! LOL!! I also added some PINK food coloring because they are PINK Pancake Poppers after all!!! I mixed up the batter and added my food color!
I have been wanting to buy one of the cake pop pans and this seemed like the perfect time and it was even on sale!!! I am doing pretty good with this little project!! I sprayed the pans with baking spray before filling each cavity in the pan to just below the top edge!! Put the top on and popped it in the oven for 17-20 minuets at 350 degrees.
When the poppers were done baking I took them out of the oven and let them sit in the pan for about 5 minuets before removing from the pan!! They were perfect just how I had envisioned they would be!!!
While they were baking I mixed up my dipping sauce. 2 oz softened cream cheese, 1 T soft butter, 1-2 T milk and 1 C powdered Sugar, and of course PINK food coloring!! And there you have it PINK Pancake Poppers!!
They tasted just like the ones we had on vacation!! YUMMMM!! If you don’t like cream cheese dipping sauce you can serve them with some good old-fashioned Maple Syrup!! What is your favorite Pancake topping??? These would be a great Valentines breakfast treat!!
