With the Covid Pandemic we have all been cooking and eating at home so much more! I love cooking and an easy meal is what I am all about. With that I am not willing to sacrifice is flavor, quality or taste for an easy meal but let me tell you I have a super easy recipe for you today. I love that it sings to my Italian heritage.
This pizza uses Prosciutto di Parma, now doesn’t that sound fancy?? It isn’t! Let me tell you about it. It is ham that has been cured a specific way using salt, lard and time to cure it. If you would like to learn more about the process you can learn more by clicking HERE.
This process is done by hand in Italy. It is a time consuming process but the results are amazing. In a nutshell Prosciutto is a salty thinly sliced dry cured ham that is used for so many delicious recipes. I kinda think of it as the Italian equivalent of bacon! I love it on this pizza!
Another kinda fancy and yummy topping on this pizza is Grana Padano cheese. I put a beautiful sprinkling of this on the top of my pizza. This cheese is very reminiscent to the beloved Parmesan cheese that we are all familiar with. I love this cheese it is not only delicious but it has such a beautiful presentation. You can tell it is authentic by he markings on the rind. Look close the rind is so pretty.
Both of these products are from Italy and can be found in most grocery stores. I have even noticed you can purchase the Grana Padano cheese online.
Now on to the recipe!

- Once out of the oven, let cool for 2 minutes. Slice and serve! Enjoy!
This did not last long in my house and it will be on the menu again! I loved the crispy texture of the crust and the Prosciutto di Parma was a delicious change!
