Father’s Day is THIS Sunday. I cannot believe how quickly things creep up on me these days. I am not sure if it is because I am so busy or just because I am old! LOL! Well I got busy baking in my trusty kitchen and whipped up a couple of Mr. Pinkcakeplate’s favorite flavor combination treats. The first one are these Peanut Butter Chocolate Magic Bars. Let me tell you they truly are magical. These Peanut Butter Chocolate Magic Bars are packed with loads of chocolate, peanuts, peanut butter AND peanut butter cups one treat your going to want to make again and again.
I know I did not share with Y’all that Mr. Pinkcakeplate is working out of town for about 6 weeks at a Boy Scout Camp up near Flagstaff Arizona so I have been living the “single life” for a few weeks now. He came home last weekend and we celebrated Father’s Day early. I had these Peanut Butter Chocolate Magic Bars ready and waiting for him.
I have been making “Magic Bars” since I was a little girl, we called them “Hello Dolly Bars” but the basis of the recipe is a buttery crust topped with all kinds of yummy things and then drizzled with sweetened condensed milk, baked until everything is melted and delicious. I decided since peanut butter and chocolate are Mr.Pinkcakeplate’s favorite flavor combination I had to make some “Magic Bars” with this flavor profile. These Peanut Butter Chocolate Magic Bars are a raging success. Mr.Pinkcakeplate LOVED these. They will be made again and again.

Do you have any fun plans to celebrate Father’s Day?A BBQ or Picnic would be a great way to celebrate. I think I am going to head up to Flagstaff and surprise Mr.Pinkcakeplate and spend the day with him!
What is the “cookie dough” in the recipe? The graham cracker crumbs or the cocoa/milk combo?
That’s a good question. I think its a combination of both. The butter in the chocolate graham cracker crumbs glue those together and the cocoa/milk combo is reinforcement that holds it all together!
This looks yummy! I bet my kids will love this. In fact, we’re making a batch tomorrow during our weekend baking tutorial.
Thank you so much for sharing the recipe. Can’t wait to make this magic bars.
