I know this is really early but I just had to share this extremely yummy recipe! I think it is one of my favorite blondie recipe yet! These Lucky Charm Blondies are not only pretty but they are chewy and delicious!
I ended up purchasing a huge bag of cereal marshmallows on Amazon because I love to use them in recipes! They are really good to just munch on too!
I have to tell you using the combination of butter and shortening keeps these blondies soft and chewy! Just the way I love them! These are just perfect for St. Patricks’ Day! I love making bar cookies like these blondies you only have to bake one time!
Lucky Charm Blondies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups Lucky Charms marshmallows
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9xpan13 inch .
- Beat butter, shortening, granulated sugar and brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Add vanilla and mix well.
- Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Add to creamed mixture and beat until thoroughly combined. Gently fold in marshmallows and spread into prepared pan.
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan before cutting into bars. Store in an airtight container.
