This past week mot of you know I had the most amazing time at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. There was so much to see and do, and being there at this Holiday time added even more “magic” to our trip.
We went on many of the rides and saw a few of the Holiday Productions (more on this in another post) The one ride that has left a wonderful impression on my heart is “It’s A Small World”.
As we entered the ride it was meticulously decorated for Christmas time and it was spectacular. The light and color illuminated the ride throughout the entire cruise.
The first part of the ride was decorated to the hilt with Holiday Decor.
As we moved through the ride the Christmas decor began to fade away and it was then I noticed the costumes of the children were those of countries that did not celebrate Christmas. My heart was touched and I said to myself Disney has shown great respect to these countries. The ride was still beautiful and still carried the magic of the season but my hat is off to Disney for them to celebrate the diversity of these other children of “It’s A Small World”. To be honest I loved that it was done this way. The one message that rang true throughout the entire cruise was this…
I love the Holidays and I am so grateful I had this opportunity to experience Disneyland and California Adventure at Christmas time, if you ever have the chance to see the parks this time of year don’t pass it up it is amazing!
