I am having a little crafting night at my house in a couple of weeks and I always like to sent my guests home with a little treat whether it is a sweet treat or a cute little “what not”!! Well today I decided to make this adorable Candy Corn Halloween pin!!
Pin it to your jacket, or on your purse or here in Arizona just on your shirt!!
Again I went in a searched through my almost hoarder status craft stash and found yellow, orange and white coordinating fabrics, some muslin fabric and a little stuffing, and a small length of bakers twine. I also uses my favorite Heat-n-Bond
After backing my fabric with Heat-n-Bond I used my Spellbinders Grand Calibur and Nested Candy Corn dies to cut out my candy corn!! Easy peasy!!
Once the fabric was bonded to the muslin I cut 1/4 inch edging around the candy corn and then stitched close to the edge of the bonded fabric leaving a small opening at the bottom.
I carefully stuffed the candy corn with the stuffing then stitched the opening closed!!
Note: If you do not have a sewing machine you can hand stitch this just make sure you take small stiches!
I attached the flat backed pin to the back with hot glue and covered the back with a small felt circle I cut out using the Spellbinder Grand Calibur and Standard Circles LG I cropped the circle just a bit to fit over the pin.
With a little Fabric hot glue the bakers twine was attached to the front!! Easy peasy and oh so cute!!
I love how this turned out so cute I think my guests will enjoy taking home this little “what not”!
