How would you like to have dinner done and on the table in 30 minutes or less? With little prep and little clean up involved? Dreaming? Not today! I have a delicious and easy recipe for Easy Cajun Chicken and Peppers. You can have this dish ready and on the table in that dreamed about time frame.
I tried a new cooking method well kinda new. Have you ever cooked your food in parchment? I have done it once and I didn’t like the outcome so I never tried it again. Until I was asked to try Ready Chef Go Bags. I have to tell you I was kind of excited to try these bags and I have to tell you I love them! They are easy to use and easy to clean up!

This recipe is really simple. Slice your peppers;
Place in a bowl and toss with BBQ sauce and seasonings:
Then place your ingredients in the Ready Chef Go bags:
Seal them up. Bake. Remove from the oven and let sit for one minute.
Open bag, doesn’t that look yummy?
I served this over rice and it was soooo good!
Now lets talk about clean up. I simply tossed the bags in the garbage and was done.
Easy Cajun Chicken
Easy Cajun Chicken and Peppers Garlic Chicken and Potatoes
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into 1 1/2 inch (7 cm) pieces
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 green or red pepper chopped
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp barbecue sauce
- Seasoning Mix: 1 tsp each: paprika and garlic powder 1/2 tsp each: dried thyme leaves, dried oregano leaves, cayenne, salt and pepper
- 2 Tbs olive oil
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 large potatoes thinly sliced
- 1 Tbs finely chopped garlic
- 1/2 tsp smokey Paprika
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 4 Ready Chef Go Bags
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine chicken, onion, pepper and oil, toss to coat evenly. Add barbecue sauce and toss to coat evenly.
- In small bowl, combine all seasonings, sprinkle over chicken and peppers and toss again.
- Place in an even layer in Ready Chef Go Cooking Bag on rimmed baking sheet.
- Close bag. Bake 20 minutes or until chicken and vegetables are tender.
- Open bag and let stand a few minutes.
- Slice potatoes and place in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with garlic and paprika lightly toss to coat with oil and spices add in chicken breasts and toss again to coat chicken.
- In one bag place 1/4 potatoes in a thin layer on bottom of Ready Chef Go bag and sprinkle with salt, pepper and 1/2 of garlic. Place 1 chicken breasts on top of potatoes and sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic and paprika.
- Repeat with remaining spices, chicken and potatoes. Place all bags on baking sheet and bake in 350 degree oven for 25-30 minuets.
