Walt Disney World hosted our multigenerational family for #DisneyGrandAdveneture; opinions expressed are my own. DIY Mini Disney Backpack
We were invited to Walt Disney World for a multi generational trip which means my grand babies came along for the trip!! EEEEEK I was so excited! So excited that I started crafting for them! My little grandson is only two and my granddaughter will be six in a couple of weeks. I knew that my little grandson would love a little backpack to take his stuff into the park in. So I have these adorable DIY mini Disney Backpacks for you to make.
Like everything I do I start with some things that are “pre made” and this craft is no different! Now I cant take credit for the idea but because I think it was pure genius I just had to make them! So Starting with Disney lunch boxes I created these adorable mini Disney Backpacks.
I found both of my lunch boxes on Amazon. You want to find ones that are vertical as opposed to horizontal and if you can find really original and different ones even better. My grand daughter just loves Elsa from Frozen so I had to go with a Frozen lunch box and my grand son loves Miles from Tomorrowland so the lunch box I found was perfect.
The supplies you will need:
Lunchbox 3 yards 1 inch wide woven belting for straps
scissors glue ruler marking pencil
1″ strap adjusters sewing machine and coordinating thread
First mark the back of the lunch box where your going to insert the straps for the backpack. I used a ruler to mark the cutting lines.
Cut the slits with small scissors just wide enough for the straps to slip through. I took glue and sealed the cut edges of the slots so they would not fray or unravel. It worked perfectly!
Next slip the webbing straps through the cut slits.
Follow the directions on the back of the Strap Adjusters for the straps.
I finished the straps by using a zig zag stitch on the edge. And sewed them following the directions on the back of the strap adjuster package.
You can put just about anything in them!
My grand kids loved them.
Write my essay for me says
It is such a creative idea to make Disney backpacks. It also looks very cool.
