We have all heard the saying “Be a Pineapple Stand Tall Wear a Crown and Be Sweet on the Inside.” I happen to love this saying and have made a few other goodies inspired by this quote. I stopped by “The 99Cent Only” store the other day and found a super cute pineapple but it was made of plastic and even though it was pink I had another plan for it! This DIY Gold Pineapple Decor is super easy to make and so cute!
I have been looking at cute gold pineapple home decor on Amazon. I found a couple cute ones but they are pretty pricey.
But I love them they are so cute. And did you know that the pineapple is the symbol for hospitality? I love that too! I have wanted a cute gold pineapple for my office forever. When I was out shopping at “The 99Cent Only” store I found the cute little pink pineapple in their summer section. I had some left over gold spray paint and I knew exactly what to do with it. I turned that cute little pink pineapple into my cute little gold pineapple for my office.
All you need is gold spray paint and your little pineapple.
So I am the worst when it comes to spray paint I hate waiting for each layer to dry. When I over spray my projects it gets all drippy. It took everything I had to actually wait an hour between each layer of paint. I did it I actually waited an hour between each layer of paint. I used 3 coats of paint to cover my little pineapple. I let it dry outside overnight, you always want to use spray paint in a well ventilated area.
I’m pretty sure it paid off, because my little gold pineapple is adorable. And I think I am in love with gold spray paint.
