In the paper crafting world Smash Books are all the rage these days. So while I was on vacation celebrating my 5 year wedding anniversary I went a little crazy and made my own Smash Book!!
I started with my Passporter Guide and there is where the fun began! You can purchase your very own Passporter Guide HERE! It is a fantastic resource for planning your Disney vacation.
When I ordered my copy they only had the spiral bound version so I removed the spine and punched holes in it so I could put it in my binder which I purchased for my WDW vacation in 2009.
You can make a smash book with just about any book you want. You can start with a brand new note-book and go crazy!! I liked having the Passporter because it had relevant information already in it and I just embellished it!
So here is what I used.
I purchased a few things to take with me!
But everything else I used was free!! I picked up just about every brochure and pamphlet I could find!! I even used packaging from my favorite Disney snack!!
I love how it worked out I had pop out pages and pockets that were filled!! There was no real rhyme or reason to the book but it really helped that the Passporter had info in it that is what I took my ques from!
I took a Denny’s menu to document our first meal!! The Burgers were fantastic and Mr. PinkCakePlate introduced me to Pancake Puppies!!! YUMMMMMM!!
We went to downtown Disney and stopped at Marceline’s Confectionery! The cast member was really sweet and gave me some new clean glassine bags!! I love cute goodie bags!
I put complete brochures in and I cut some apart! I made tab dividers and pop ups! I had so much fun with this book I am taking it back with me when we take our family in December!! I can’t decide if I want to get a brand new book or just build on this one!! Guess I will figure that out later!!
I cut apart another map and added it to the old map that did not have Cars Land!!! Ya I am kinda silly like that!!
I put just about everything in this book even my chopsticks I was given from the Fortune Cookie Cookery!!
I think the funnest part of this was when Mr.Pinkcakeplate asked me why our hotel room looked like my craft room!!
We had a fantastic time at Disneyland and can’t wait to go back in December!!
I received sooooooo many compliments on my cross body bag!! Hmm might need to make some more!!
Have a fantastic weekend!!

This is such an awesome idea. I guess I have had my head in the clouds for too long because I never heard of a smash book. My family and I are heading to Disney World for the first time in a couple weeks and this would be a great way to document our fun. Thanks so much for sharing!!

I love this idea. I meant to make my own autograph books for our last disney cruise but I never got around to it. We love Disney but have never been for Christmas season. We are crazy busy at home but also worried that it will be crowded. You’ll have to let me know how it goes. Have fun!!
