I always seem to be late to the game but today I just had to share these really easy and cute Chocolate Covered Easter Egg Pops! I promise you can make these just in time to fill all those Easter baskets.
With just a few ingredients and just a little bit of time these delicious and yummy chocolate covered marshmallow Easter egg pops will have smiles on everyone’s faces! I found most of my ingredients at my local big box store. The egg shaped marshmallows are really cute but if you can’t find Easter egg shaped marshmallow regular ones will be just as cute, and just as tasty!
You will need:
- Marshmallows
- Dark Almond Bark melted
- Sprinkles of choice
- paper straws
- mixing bowls and spoons
- parchment paper
To make sure the straws stay in the marshmallows you want to dip the end of the straw in the melted chocolate. Not a lot of chocolate is needed so gently shake off the excess.
Gently push the chocolate end of the straw into the marshmallow and allow the chocolate to harden.
I didnt take a photo of the next step but what you need to do is dip the marshmallow in the melted chocolate making sure to cover the whole marshmallow. Genly shake off the excess chocolate and place on the parchment paper. Before the chocolate hardens sprinkle with fun sprinkles. Let the chocolate harden then watch them get gobbled up!
It is really important to make sure the marshmallow is completly covered in the chocolate. This step keeps the marshmallow from getting stale! And who likes a stale marshmallow? Um not me!
This would be a great activity to do with you kids. It might be a bit messy but oh what a delicious mess. I hope you have as much fun making these chocolate covered Easter Egg Pops as I did!
