I brought home a new puppy. Yes a little wire haired dachshund puppy. He is adorable but stubborn. House breaking has been a real challenge. along with house breaking comes being out side a lot. I mean like all the time. The other day he woke me up at 4:30am. Its still dark outside at 4:30am. I’m outside just about every hour on the hour. The other good thing about this is it totally lit a fire under my behind to create a comfortable and usable outdoor living space, one that I would actually use and enjoy. I have to say I love my new brightened up patio space.
I had done a patio update about two years ago and it was just OK. This is what it looked like after two years of not really using it. The table dominated the space and the chair cushions were pretty much deteriorated from the sun and weather. Basically I just used the table for craft projects. We have always wanted a wicker set for the patio so this seemed like a great time to get a small love seat and table. I also still wanted an outdoor eating space as well, I found this cute bistro set that coordinated with the wicker perfectly. I just added a pop of color with some fun accessories and fake plants and I love the out come! (I use fake plants because I “kill” real plants!)

Here is what the patio looks like in the day time. I am actually spending quite a bit of time out here. I take my laptop out in the morning and let the dogs play while I work. This will really be nice when the weather gets even cooler in the morning!
I love the small table I can eat my breakfast or we can even have dinner out here.
All in all I am totally in love with this space now and have spent more time out here in the last couple of weeks than I have in the last two years I have lived here!
