I love planners all kinds of planners. My favorite is one I carry in my purse, that is the one I actually use but I have a few others that I love too. I think the ringed planners are fun and the disk planners are so versatile. I love having different covers for my planners too. I am using my Cricut Maker to “bling” my planner! I’m going to show you how you can “bling” your planner too! I created a really cute cut file and I think it works perfectly!
The supplies I used are as follows:
- Cricut Maker (you can use any Cricut machine to make this)
- Cricut Vinyl
- Cricut Holographic Vinyl
- Cricut Transfer Tape
- Cricut Standard Grip Mat
- Cricut Weeding Tool
- Planner of Choice
- Scissors
Use the Bling Your Planner cut file and cut your vinyl. I love using Cricut Access for all the graphics and the font for this cut file. Cricut Access has so many cut files available you can make just about anything! I used black vinyl for the lettering, holographic vinyl for the diamond and pink adhesive foil for the “sparkles”. With the maker I don’t even have to think about what I need to set the blade to. I just told the maker what I was cutting and it did the figuring out for me! Can’t beat that. I have to say I had so much fun using vinyl for this project.
Once you have your vinyl cut use you Weeding tool to remove the unwanted vinyl from the design.
Starting with the lettering, cut the transfer tape the size of your vinyl. Remove the back of the transfer tape and place over the top of the cut vinyl.
Remove the vinyl backing. The vinyl should stay on the transfer tape.
Place the vinyl lettering cut out on you planner where you like it and gently rub over the vinyl, gently remove the transfer tape. If the vinyl comes up with the transfer tape place then both back on the planner and rub the vinyl again with a bit more pressure. I find if I gently roll the transfer tape away from the vinyl it works perfectly.
Repeat the process with the remaining 2 vinyl cut outs. (I placed the diamond next and the “sparkles” last).
Now look how cute your planner is!
