So are you watching the BIG GAME Sunday? Want something more than chips and salsa for your spread? Today I have a super easy and super fun BIG GAME BIG EATS recipe for you!! Pizza Fries!
I headed out to my local Smart & Final to pick up the ingredients I needed for these amazing fries! I love that Smart & Final is open early and has a great selection of just about everything you need for the BIG GAME, from chips and soda to all the ingredients for these Pizza Fries! These fries are so easy to make and you can customize them to your taste! Topped with a delicious tomato basil sauce, lots of fresh mozzarella cheese and I like pepperoni, sausage and salami so I threw a little of that on top! You can do veggies too! Mr. Pinkcakeplate doesn’t like olives so I just put those on mine!
The real trick to this dish is to make sure to cook the fries until they are extra crisp not burnt or dried out but really crisp so the marinara sauce doesn’t make the fries soggy! I used block cheese and grated it because it just melts better!
I first baked my fries then layered them in my skillet and put the toppings on and popped it back in the hot oven to get the cheese melted. You will want to let this cool just a bit before serving so you don’t burn your mouth!! Trust me waiting will be hard!
