I think Arizona schools have the shortest summer breaks ever. I can hardly believe that for some schools the first day of class is August 1st. So this Back to School Snack Mix is for all you mamas with little ones heading back to school.
I love a good snack mix and this one was soooooo good. I had to get it out of my house the same day I mixed it up! I love a good salty sweet treat and the ingredients in this Back to School Snack Mix are just that.
The really fun thing about snack mixes is you can do just about anything you want. I found a lot of my ingredients at the dollar store. I even found the Butter Pretzels at the dollar store but most of the ingredients can be found at your local grocery store. I also love to mix the whole thing up in an oversized zipper bag and I mean oversized. Because you cannot make a small batch of snack mix.
I love candy covered pretzels and I could not leave them out of this Back to School Snack Mix, but to be honest they can be a little expensive and hard to find. So why not make your own but take a shortcut! Instead of completely covering the pretzels with candy I just drizzled them with candy and covered them with sprinkles. To make my life easy I use a disposable candy piping bag. Using a disposable candy piping bag makes a pretty and even drizzle.
To get a pretty and even drizzle with melted candy, use disposable candy piping bags.
