As a Denny’s Blog Ambassador I have been compensated however all opinions and experiences are mine.
A few weeks ago I had the fun opportunity to take Mr. Pinkcakeplate to Denny’s for a date night… and a little work for me!! I had been looking forward to this evening for a while. Ever since being contacted by the PR company that is handling the Denny’s Blog Ambassador Program this event was on the agenda!! A yummy dinner with my main squeeze and then a meeting of the minds!!
But first let me tell you about my delicious dinner! So I posted last week about needing to eat red meat so I chose the mouth watering Sirloin Steak! It was cooked to perfection!! I love a good steak!! The veggies were cooked just the way I like them sooo delicious!! If I had stayed away from the loaded mashed potatoes I would have had a pretty healthy meal but what the heck it was a date so I splurged!!
Of course Mr. Pinkcakeplate had the Strawberry Cheesecake Milkshake!! We love that they give you the extra in the tin!!! YUMM!
After we filled our tummies I got to meet with some of my favorite blogging friends! Also Denny Blog Ambassadors!!

This was a great night to meet and learn about some fun Denny’s history like did you know Denny’s was originally Danny’s Donut Shop?? Yup it sure was and to avoid confusion with another LA restaurant the name was changed to Denny’s Coffee Shop!
I just love these vintage photos!!
We also talked about what kinds of promotional events would be beneficial to Phoenix!! Come back to see what they have planned for the No Child Hungry Campaign it will be a win win for every one!! I will tell you all about it in a few days!!
I had such a nice evening and it was a blast to meet everyone that night!! And remember shakes an steaks are pretty amazing for a date night at Denny’s Diner!!
What is your favorite Denny’s Diner menu item??? Leave me a comment!!

For as long as I can remember(breakfast before a HS volleyball match) my go to eat at Denny’s has been Moons Over my Hammy, fries with a side of ranch. Basically no matter the time of day- except the one time I was there for breakfast. Can’t do fries & ranch at breakfast- think I went with actual breakfast bread or something that day. In high school there used to be a rather large group of us that would go to Denny’s fairly frequently. We would take up one of those huge ass booths & order up some cheese fries(the good way they used to be, not sure what they do to them now but they’re not the same!) and a big ol’ vat of ranch dressing- we were those kinda kids…
There was one summer I think I was at Denny’s every other night for a good few weeks maybe even a month? Then all our local Denny’s disappeared 🙁 and we would have to drive hours if we wanted the goodness again…
Novel of a comment over!
