A few weeks ago I posted a picture of cute white candy bird nests on Instagram and I had one of my IG friends ask for a tutorial and recipe for these little birds nests. So with just a few ingredients you can have this super easy treat made in a very short amount of time!!! White Candy Easter Birds Nests!
You will need:
2 C. Chow Mein noodles
4 oz. melted white candy melts
Various small egg shaped candies. I used mini robins eggs but you can use just about anything you like.
Makes 4 nests
Place the candy in a medium size microwave save bowl and melt candy in 20 second intervals stirring in between until candy is melted and smooth.
Add chow mein noodles into candy and gently fold the noodles into the candy until completly coated.
Let the noodle candy mixture sit for about 5 minuets but do not let harden. After 5 minuets have passe spoon into 4 equal heaps onto parchment paper and carefully shape into a nest.
When shaped as you like add a few candies to the middle of the nest and let harden. You can place in the refrigerator to speed up the process!!
Now you have some adorable birds nests to use for decor or to put in Easter Baskets!!!
What is your favorite Easter treat to find in your Easter Basket???
