Christmas is coming and fast so here is another super easy, super cute Vintage Tin Pin cushion, a great gift idea!!
I went thrifting this weekend with my sweet friend Sara from Clever Pink Pirate and we found some fun vintage goodies! I found these vintage aluminum jell-o molds and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them.
I headed to my craft room stash again and found this cross stitched pillow case I had purchased for another project but it was not quite right for that project but perfect for this vintage tin pin cushion!
I used my Spellbinders® Grand Calibur® Machine and my Standard Circles LG dies and just passed the fabric through to cut out the circles.
With a needle and thread I stitched a simple running stitch to gather the fabric.
To make this pouf I gently pulled on the thread and then stuffed it and the tin with fiberfill.
I dug out some vintage lace and with my hot glue gun glued it to the inner edge of the tin then with another line of hot glue on the inside of the lace I glued the top of the pin cushion to the tin. And that is it!! Done!!
Kinda looks like a cupcake!! And I think that is ok!!
