I love to decorate and love having a beautiful table for a Holiday meal!! Easter is no exception! I gladly accepted the challenge to create my Holiday Table and an amazing door greeter using the fantastic goodies I found at my local Kmart ! I have shopped at Kmart for years and I have to tell you I love it now just as much as I did when I was younger!!
I was off to my local Kmart and started looking at the fun Easter Decor! I checked the Kmart circular that I grabbed at the door. Most of the Easter decor and goodies were on SALE!!! Bonus!!
You can see more of my #KmartEaster shopping trip, its on my G+ profile!
I fell in love with the Mama Duck and Baby Duck on the Celebrations by Christopher Radko plate!!
I found my inspiration piece!!! That is how I usually roll I find an inspiration piece and go from there!! I decided to add the cute statue and 2 egg holders both with the duck theme to my purchase!! I grabbed some other little filler things such as candy, jelly beans and Easter grass!!
Here is what I came up with!!!
I usually have a table cloth on my table for Holiday meals but for this I really liked the look of the wood with the rest of my decor so I did not use one! What I did use was simple scrapbook paper for the place mats and the runner in the middle of the table!! I simply cut 12″ circles out of each sheet of paper!!
I did some “shopping” around my house and came up with the two vases, I filled those with jelly beans and added bright yellow daffodils!! I love the look!!
I put those 2 cute egg holders under glass with a bit of Easter grass and I love how they turned out!! I am glad I am a pack rat of sorts when it comes to pretty table top things!!”wink, wink”
I made these “Peeps in a nest” as a sweet treat for family members to take home!
What do you think??? I really like how bright and cheery it turned out!! Even Baby duck was happy!! Isn’t he adorable???
Now here is my door greeter!!
I found this in the Easter aisle!! I thought it was soooooo cute!!!
This is what it was transformed to!
I used a lot of goodies out of my craft stash!! But the Bunny plate is definitely the star of the Door Greeter!!!
I have had the straw wreath for over a year!! So glad I could finally put it to use!! All the flowers I have had for years!! I used to buy those bags that were just a mis-mash of flowers that had fallen off their stems!! So I have a huge drawer full flower odds and ends, this was perfect for this project!!
The “Happy Spring” banner I printed off my printer and used the left over scrapbook paper to create medallions. I just sewed them together!!
I love that I could use my creativity to make my home so fresh and pretty!! I love how both projects turned out!!! What do you think?? I would love to hear your comments!
I am really happy that Kmart has such great deals and a fantastic selection!! I even love the new LYS clothing line!! Cute trendy clothes in MY size!!! Love it!!!
