I was at the Golden Arches the other day and guess what they have SHAMROCK SHAKES!! Yes they are here for a limited time!! Everyone loves them so I thought I would make a Shamrock Shake Cupcake!! And yes they are easy to make because I start with a cake mix as usual and doctor it!!!
I used a white cake mix and added some green food color and peppermint extract! Yes that is all! Here is how to make your own! This is what you need.
1 white cake mix and the ingredients to make the cake
green food color
peppermint extract
Mix cake according to the package directions. Add 1 teaspoon of peppermint extract to the batter and blend. I then took about 1/4 cup of batter for each shade of green and then tinted each bowl of batter. (3 shades)
I put some of the uncolored batter in the cup cake liner first and then layered with about a teaspoon of each shade of green,
I baked them and this is how they looked just out of the oven!!
I frosted the cupcakes with a homemade mint butter cream tinted green! and this is what the inside looked like!!
I made some cupcakes all green too!!
What are you making for St.Patty’s day?????

PinkCakePlate….you did again. These were really fantastic. We won’t tell anyone that I had to wait a few hours to actually try them due to a bit too much proseco for Valentine’s Day? Some people just can do EVEYTHING! even bake. You rock at work too. ‘becca
