So life has been so crazy these days and I so wanted to make these little candies for Christmas. Unfortunately I never got around to making them until this week. These little Valentine Chocolate Peanut Cups are so easy to make. The addition to peanut butter in the chocolate makes this sweet treat creamy and so good.

As creamy as these little sweet bites are I put peanuts in the middle for a salty sweet crunch.

These are so cute and the perfect two bite treat. If you have kiddos this is a perfect project to make with them. The thing I like about these treats are they do not have to be perfect. Mine sure are not! You will not want to let the little ones do this alone I would have a parent handle the melted chocolate but the little ones can surely drop peanuts on the first layer.

I love how cute these are and the white chocolate on top makes them look like mini cupcakes. You can always change the sprinkles for just about any occasion or holiday. If you have someone with a peanut allergy try almond butter and put an almond in the middle! I used dry roasted peanuts for that salty sweet flavor combination if you use almonds I would use a salted almond. If you dont care for salty sweet then use unsalted nuts. I used a small peanut butter cup chocolate mold like this one I found on Amazon.
If you dont have a mold you can use mini candy wrappers. Like these. They will turn out just as tasty!
I think these turned out just perfect.

I had micro mini heart sprinkles and regular sprinkles for the top. They turned out so cute. Are you ready for Valentine’s Day? You can whip these up in a jiff for your sweetheart!
Ingredients
Method
- Roughly chop the milk chocolate, and place in a glass bowl
- Place in the microwave, and melt. This will take a few minutes depending on the temperature of your microwave. Be sure to stir often, and don't burn it.
- Once the chocolate is melted, add the peanut butter and stir. Place back in the microwave for a minute to be sure the peanut butter is melted.
- At this point you can transfer your warm mixture into a measuring cup to ease in pouring. You can also use a ladle if you wish.
- Pour a small amount of the chocolate/peanut butter mixture into each candy cup. About half full.
- Top each cup with some dry roasted peanuts.
- Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave.
- Place melted chocolate in a piping bag, snip a small corner of the end of piping bag. Drizzle the white chocolate over the peanuts. Sprinkle with sprinkles. Allow to set and then enjoy.
