Sorry this is so late in getting out today!! But I have a Great Give away for you!! Read down the whole post to find out what goodies you can win!!Last night I invited a few friends over for a Cookie Swap Re-Mix! We Swapped Chex Mix!!! It was a blast!! I really put a twist on the Classic Cookie Swap by making the Chex Mix at the party!! So instead of coming with your goodie already made we all got elbow deep in Chex Mix!!
Here are some pictures of us girls and my hubby getting busy with our Chex Mix!!
Here is my dear friend Sandi from Big Toe Mom, and my sweet ex-neighbor Molly(I still love her even though she moved away!!) measuring out the Chex Cereal!
Here is the AWESOME Sara from Clever Pink Pirate and her adorable daughter Adrian. I was sooooo happy they came!!
Yes my Hubby even stopped in to do some taste testing and make sure everything tasted good. And here you can see the wonderful Blanca laughing at something silly he had to say about the Chex mix!!! What a great smile too bad I am a horrible photographer!!
We made some pretty YUMMY treats!! I think the hands down favorite savory Chex mix was the Loaded Baked Potato you can find the recipe HERE
The Favorite Sweet Chex mix had to be the Caramel Chocolate Drizzle you can find the recipe here for this yummy treat!!
Ours didn’t look quite like this… it looked like this after we divided it up!! It was GONE!!! LOL!!
I even got a little creative and made up my very own Chex Mix recipe.
Cake Batter Chex Mix!! Here is what it calls for:
12 oz Almond Bark melted
1/2 C to 3/4 C Yellow or white dry Cake Mix
3 C. Rice Chex Cereal
3 C. Corn Chex Cereal
2 C. Chocolate Animal Crackers
1 C. plain M&M’s
1 C. Mini Marshmallows
The last 3 ingredients you can change around for variations, peanut m&ms for the plain, leave out the marshmallows, use frosted animal crackers or mini oreos. You get the idea!
Combine the cereals and crackers in a large bowl!
Melt the Almond Bark in 20 second intervals in the microwave. When melted stir in the dry cake mix, when mix is incorporated in almond bark drizzle over cereals and cookies and toss until coated. When coated add the M&M’s and the Marshmallows and mix again to distribute in the cereal. Pour the mix on a cookie sheet and spread out in a single layer. Let cool and when cool break into pieces!! It is soooooooooooooooooo yummy!! That is all it takes!
If you make this please come back and let me know how you like it!!
Here is a before and after photo of the Cake Batter Chex Mix!!
