Many of you know I have two mini Dachshunds which are totally spoiled rotten! They are the sweetest dogs and both are so different its not event funny. Sophie who is 14 years old is my old girl she is so predictable it cracks me up! I know her like I know the back of my hand. Cinnie who is 11 is my little firecracker, my eternal 2 year old. She loves to run and play and try to kill her squeaky toy! Sophie is my chow hound, Cinnie, my attention hound. Both are motivated by two very different things.
As Sophie has aged we have had some health challenges that are now under control but I started to notice she didn’t like to be held or didn’t want sit on my lap anymore. I first thought it was because of her health challenges but once those were under control her behavior didn’t change. (Sad Face here) Sophie is a sweetheart, very gentle and unassuming always offering unconditional love. I started to also notice she didn’t like to go for rides in the car anymore and if I didn’t go there was no way would go. And she loved going bye-bye.
I just thought this was due to her age. This made me extremely sad and it felt like my little dog was drifting away. I then started seeing commercials for a new dog food that helped promote alertness and mental sharpness in dogs 7+, my ears perked up! Transitioning both girls to their new food was relatively easy. Sophie will eat anything! LOL! Cinnie is a little more finicky but she took to the new food pretty easily!

They are so adorable!
Such beautiful dogs! Since both are senior dogs, so I guess this food suited both of them fine because the nutrition needs of senior dogs are very different from the younger ones.
